Sample Budget

It takes quite a bit of planning, including budgeting, to attend the Gathering.  Here’s a sample budget of costs you’ll want to consider:

$850-$1100 per person for 4 nights in New Orleans

  • Registration:  $315
  • Housing:  $119-$141 per night per room, depending on your housing assignment.  Don’t forget about hotel taxes.
  • Transportation costs vary depending on how you decide to get to New Orleans.  This could range from $150-$400 per person.
  • Food per day is about $40, but it’s up to you and your congregation to work out the logistics and money saving tactics (email Amy Wagner for ideas).
Some additional items you might want to add to the budget:
  • Gratuities (drivers, hotel staff, wait staff)
  • Group t-shirts
  • Pre-meetings/bonding times
  • Local New Orleans activities
